Labcyte Moves to Larger Facility in San Jose!
TUESDAY, JUNE 06, 2017
We recently moved into a new 60,000 square foot facility in San Jose, effectively doubling our space and allowing all of our Northern California-based employees to be working under one roof.
On June 1st, the Mayor of San Jose, Sam Liccardo, joined employees at the new building for the official ribbon cutting ceremony. Mayor Liccardo officially welcomed Labcyte to our new home, and said he was excited to have such an innovative company doing important work join the business community here. Mayor Liccardo noted Labcyte’s impressive patent portfolio and said the company is in good company – San Jose businesses generate more patents than any other city.
Our CEO Mark Fischer-Colbrie noted that this was an impressive development for a company that started not too many years ago in a garage in nearby Cupertino, “which was shared with a car and a dog,” following the path of other successful Silicon Valley start-ups. He presented Mayor Liccardo with a Labcyte jacket and pen set, naming him an “honorary Labcyte employee.”
It was a great event, and we are excited for the next phase in our company’s growth. Consolidating all our operations into a single building will provide us with the opportunity to improve our efficiency, which will benefit both our customers and our business partners. We hope to see you someday at our new home at 170 Rose Orchard Way, San Jose.
